Family night with ...

We went to Krispy Kreme Donut shop and watched the makings and got some donuts then went to the L. Bean Museum (classic for kids!)  The museum is fascinating and they had a LIVE reptile show that we learned so much from.  We got to pet a real lizard (huge and active.)  We saw a turtle, and a snake.  Nate calls them Sakes.  Before we went, Nate kept saying ride car.  I told him, we get to ride in Grandma Jo's van.  (He loves vans, or trucks!)  My mom's name is Joanne.  We call her grandma Jo because its just easier for the kids.  That got blown into Grandma Josee, then it became Hosee.  So after I told Nate he could ride in Grandma Jo's van, he said "Ride Hosee."  You can imagine what that sounds like, we were all laughing!  It is such a fun new thing for us to involve our families in our every day lives.

My mom was so taken by this Liger, named Shasta.  She said she remembers them making a big deal out of this when she was a kid and now it is stuffed.  It was so funny to me how silly she was being and then remembering Napolean and his love for Ligers.  The word itself cracks me up.
Double click on this pic and see the cute penguin and tiny deer.  These are stuffed, but still cool to see.
Still have not ever seen a real live Moose.  Only stuffed.
In Ash's 3rd grade class in texas her teachers theme was baboons (mrs.kuhns baboons.)  So she wanted a picture by this baboon.
Nate touching the Monitor Lizard this is only the tail, the other half of its body is hanging behind the fella.  It was VERY cool.
Ash touching the snake.  My mom hates reptiles.  She touched the lizard which was amazing. This museum is a must see!  It is free, and the live reptile show was better than zoo stuff!
I went to this museum as a kid and I can't remember it being this cool.

We were just there on the 27th with Isaac's family. The kids ping-ponged (?) through it too fast for me! I'll have to go back without them. The lizard was shedding so we only got to pet the snake.
