Lake Powell 2012

We've had a family reunion at Lake Powell as a long standing traditions in Steve's family.  I've been going since 96', so 16 years.  WHOOH!

This is just getting on the house boat and heading out to find our usual spot on Annies' Canyon (if you are familiar with Powell.)  Can you see the two yo-yo's?

                        My dad in law got a tower on his boat for this year.  This is Steve wakeboarding!

 A bit of a story...see the red cups on the counter?  We use these every year.  They have names on them for everyone who comes.  We only use them for our dinner beverage.

                                 It is not uncommon for at least 2 people to get a bloody nose each trip.

 We started going down the slide, jump on the tube, then leap to the banana, like the WIPE OUT show.

 Joel, after getting out of the water always puts his socks and Teva's back on.  He is not ashamed of his soft feet.

            This is the PARTY boat!  Joel loves his music.  The other boat that my dad in law drives, he doesn't allow music on the boat.

          4 out of 6 nights, we got rained out so we all slept in the fam. room all squished up.

 1st Annual AIRBAND!   We lipsinked to Waka-Waka by Shakira.   We had practices, and this was our performance on Sat. night.  Steve even hung up the towells for our curtain.  This was followed by our amazing yo-yo guys Logan & Jordan.

 Universal boating sign for "OKAY!"  We have our life jackets around our legs.  We call this the diaper.

 This was down Escalante River, we got out and hiked and played for a while.  It was beautiful!

                                          Escalante River is about a 2 hour boat ride from where we were but this was one of the beautiful sites that we saw.

 Our last EARLY morning ski run we did pictures of everyone and the ski they used.  Most of the skii's in Joel's boat has a name.  This is Theo (new this year.)

                                            We always have to get a wipe out picture.  This is my dad in law (in back) Bob, Carol, Kim and Tyler.  Yes, Ty wore this brown hat most of the trip while sleeping, skiing, eating, whatever - he wore the hat.
